ANIMAGILE (english version)
ANIMAGILE is a serious card game designed to help you better understand how your team works. Using an animal metaphor, you can reflect during a meeting on the strengths and weaknesses of the people who play the key roles on your team. Then decide together on possible actions to take to improve the situation. After an ANIMAGILE workshop, you will know a lot more about the different actors in your team.

Animation suggestions
Best Agile Team (Scrum)
Take 10 cards at random, shuffle them and put them in a pile without looking at them. Set the rest of the cards aside.
Turn over the 1st card: This is your manager
🡪 You don’t get to choose your manager
Turn over the 2nd card: This is your Product Owner
🡪 You don’t get to choose your Product Owner
Draw 6 more cards: These are your Agile teammates
Choose your Scrum Master from one of the 6 cards.
Your Agile team is ready to go!
Step 1: Identify 3 strengths in your team
Step 2: Identify 3 weaknesses in your team
Step 3: You know your team and you are taking 1 full day to complete improvement actions.

Step 4: You have a magic wand that allows you to change – or not – 1 to 2 of your first 8 cards. Flip the last 2 cards in the pile face up.
Are you making any changes to your team?
Best team (contextualized):
- Replace the Product Owner with the Project Director and the Scrum Master with the Project Manager – or any other role that exists in your organization.
My own team (retrospective idea)
Flip all 30 cards face up and assign each team member a card that best represents them.
Each team member can freely choose a card that represents them or you can create a voting system on a pre-selection of cards chosen by the team member and/or the rest of the team.
Discuss how each team member feels about their animal, then go over the strengths and weaknesses of the team and what you could do to improve their performance.
